This is a really great beach and the most popular surf spot in the area. There is camping all along the beach to the south and you can rent boards from the Costa Azul Surf Shop right on the beach. The road is wide and straight for 1 Km from the highway. I surfed on three different days. The surf was modest, which was good. I still had a hard time paddling out through the beach break. Most of the waves were just close outs, which where pretty hard to ride. There were some really nice rights off the point a few times, but I left those to the good surfers. I did improve each day. By the second day I was getting to my feet a lot faster. I made a few waves but most of the time just had to keep my balance through the white water.
