We were checking out all of the craft and trinket shops when I met this kid. His English was really good and he seemed to be running the shop by himself while also watching his younger brother and sister. Linda discovered the loom in the back. I always thought all of those Mexican blankets where made in a big factory somewhere but there they were making them on the spot. Other shops had the same setup. The ceramic lamp was in our casita at El Pozo and the beaded skull was in a shop in Cabo San Lucas that featured the art of the Huichol Indians of northern Mexico, well known for their amazing visionary culture, centered around the sacred use of peyote. Linda appreciated this art work the most and found a website of interest about this indigenous culture of Mexico.
