We met Debbie and Cowboy who moved to El Pescadero in 1986 and lived right in town with the locals. They have horses and Debbie takes people for rides through the arroyos towards the coast. Linda rode Pengui. We rode through the arroyos on the way towards Los Cerritos. You could easily get lost in there. We saw aloe vera growing wild. It seems to prefer the shadier places under the bigger cactus.
