In contrast to the run down funk of the first place we stayed, El Pozo Hondo was like a Zen garden. Guillermo (William Cogswell) has 7 acres of fruit trees, palm nursery, and cactus garden which he keeps immaculate. Another Oregon transplant, Guillermo keeps a legal address in Bend, while also being a Mexican citizen. Guillermo runs his place more like a bed and breakfast and provides wonderful morning meals; this was very different for us since we usually eat a light breakfast. On the other hand it wasn't setup for cooking, so we had to go out for dinner. Guillermo recommended Fellipe's which was quite good.
