All of the fences were lined with bougainvilleas and other viney flowers. Both the locals and the transplants took great care in landscaping and beautifying the environment. Houses were all painted in rich pastel colors. Of course it'ss still Mexico, and off-setting the beauty is the garbage. Mexicans seem to have a real problem with garbage. They just don't know what to do with it. It was not as bad as the big cities of Baja Norte, but it was still evident.
