Stage 7 of the Loop Tour. No more mountains to climb, just some nice quiet roads. Most of the ride was on the Cascade Lakes Scenic Highway. Not entirely scenic as much of it went through areas devastated by the pine bark beetle back in the 80's and 90's. Got much nicer as we approached the lava, and the lakes, to the north, Campground was on the Deshutes River.

First stop was The Sportsman for second breakfast. A very popular place near the junction to Crescent Lake.

We took a long lunch break somewhere outside of La Pine.

La Pine state park is on the Deschutes River. I was impressed at how big it is this far upstream.

On the last night the tradition is to do a pot luck. Here I am helping with the cleanup afterwards. That's Loyd in the front, the oldest and one of the strongest riders on this tour. And in the blue shirts "the family" with the 2 youngest riders.
