Another gorgeous autumn bike riding day. When I head out on a solo ride I don't necessarily have a set route. I just go where the road takes me. Wind, which never materialized, was supposed to be from the north so I started out that way. First stop was the coffee shop in Adair where I ran into friend Lon. Then I took the Beuna Vista ferry and rode up the east bank of the Willamette on the Scenic Bikeway though Ankeny Wildlife refuge and up through the vineyards. Riverside rolls with short climbs up from the river and fast sprints back down. Had lunch in Independence and then headed west to Helmick, which is now all smooth new pavement, and then Airlee to Berry Creek and Tampico. Wonderful way to close out October.
